Annual Wine Tasting Dinner – On hiatus until further notice. Chef Michael Getter has hosted PASCON and guests at Dune for two years. We hope to bring this back at a new spot so stay tuned for details. Seating is always limited and reservations are required.

Small Works, Big Cause – Friday, April 29th through Friday, May 13th – An annual show at the Handlebar Cafe put on by the Photographers Alliance of Nantucket. The 2016 show will benefit the Marla Ceely Lamb Cancer Travel Fund.

Marla Ceely Lamb Fund Annual Fundraiser – Historically a Mother’s Day event held in May, the 23rd Annual in 2015 moved to November. See November for details.

Webinar: Managing Conflict/Finding Meaning: Supporting Families at Life’s End – Saturday, May 21st from 9-11:30 am in the Founder’s Building at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Free and open to the public. Geared towards professionals, but all are welcome. CEU’s available. To register or for more information, call us at 508-825-8325 or email.


Annual Dreamcatcher Dinner and Auction – Sunday, June 12th – Our major fundraising event held each year at lovely Galley Beach!  Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6. Tickets on sale April 1st. Seating is limited so reserve your seats early. If you’re not able to attend, you can still participate by purchasing a Dream Ticket and by bidding on silent auction and live auction items online!

Annual Kelly Culkins West Walk for Travel – Benefiting The Marla Ceely Lamb Cancer Travel Fund. 2015 marked the 8th Annual Walk. We are not certain there will be a walk in 2016 or future years. Contact our office for more information on future walks. (508) 825-8325.


Swim Across America’s Annual Nantucket Island Swim – Sunday, August 27th – A fun and inspiring celebration of those we love fighting cancer and the family, friends, and community who support them. Proceeds are divided among PASCON and Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Visit Swim Across America for more information, to register, or to donate.


National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and National Family Caregivers Month are both in November.

Annual Daffodil Planting – The 2015 planting took place Saturday, November 7th at 9 am on Old South Road at the Water Company exit. Each year thousands of daffodils are planted in different locations across the island to honor our volunteers and caregivers who work tirelessly year-round to care for patients and loved ones. Since 2007 PASCON has planted over 75,000 bulbs along Nantucket’s roads and bikepaths.

Marla Ceely Lamb Fund Annual Fundraiser – Historically a Mother’s Day event in May, the 23rd Annual Fundraiser in 2015 moved to November. Live music, silent and live auctions, hors d’oeuvres, and a 50/50 raffle at Faregrounds Restaurant. $10 suggested donation. Call (508) 317-7679 for more information on future events.

Annual Tree of Remembrance Service – Held each year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving at 4 pm in the garden of the Jared Coffin House with a reception following at Dune. A special event marking the beginning of the holiday season. Scallop shells are provided to write names of those we wish to remember and are then placed on the tree. This brief but moving interfaith ceremony is a peaceful and special way to memorialize and honor loved ones who have died. All are welcome.


Nantucket’s Mystery Art ShowHeld each year on Christmas Stroll weekend at Quidley & Company on Main Street. Hosted by Quidley & Company with special thanks to Nantucket Frame Center. New format in 2015. No advance purchase and no lottery tickets. A simple silent auction to benefit both the Marla Ceely Lamb Fund and Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket.


Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group
Held on the last Friday of each month at 1 pm. Offered by Our Island Home Staff at Our Island Home. Please call 508-228-0462 for further information.

CARES Program
A program specifically for people with memory impairment and their care partners. Registration is required. Held on the 3rd Monday of each month from 10:30 to noon at the Nantucket Public Safety Facility. Offered by Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod & the Islands. Coping with Cancer Support Group
Held every other Monday from 1-2:30 pm in our office.

Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Newborn and Infant Loss Support Group
Held on the second Friday of each month from 5-7 pm in the Founder’s Building at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Please call the hospital for more information.

“Time Out” Caregivers’ Support Group
Held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 1-2:30 pm in our office.

Funded by the Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket Foundation, the Palliative & Supportive Care Program is operated as a department of the Nantucket Cottage Hospital, which is an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital, and a member of Partners HealthCare. Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket is a specialized health care program dedicated to providing excellent physical, psychological, social, and spiritual care to persons with life-threatening illness and their families.
